The TikToking of Customer Service

Whether you’re on the app or not, the future of client interaction and onboarding is through short video messages. By helping current and future clients by answering questions you can assist them through the sales and retention process.

There are several reasons your clients would like to see you using videos to help them. The easiest one to understand is, many people don’t think they have the time or energy to read your FAQs, but they’ll be happy to watch and listen to your answer their questions on a short video.

Other reasons your clients want to see you using video are:

Videos Are Easily Digestible Content: Short videos are easy to digest as opposed to long-form content. They provide a quick and concise way to get your message across without overwhelming viewers.

You Can Increase Engagement: Short videos tend to have higher engagement rates than longer-form content. This is because viewers are more likely to watch the whole video, as opposed to dropping off if the video is too long.

You Can Increase Your Reach: Short videos are often shared more often than longer-form content, which leads to increased reach.

Short Videos Are More Cost Effective: Short videos are generally less expensive to produce than longer-form videos. This makes them a great way to get your message across without breaking the bank.

The Video Format is Very Adaptable: Short videos can be used across multiple platforms, including social media, email, and websites. This makes them a great way to reach a wider audience.

How Can You Create Short Videos to Use in Your Marketing?

There are several simple options you can use to create videos quickly and easily. Most are available as an app on your phone or tablet. There’s no reason to spend a bunch of money on fancy, expensive AV equipment. As the saying goes, the best camera is the one you have with you.

First, use Social Media: Social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat. They’re great for creating short video content. You can easily create short, engaging videos to share with your followers.

Next, keep it short. People’s attention spans are short, so make sure to keep your videos short and to the point. Aim for videos that are no longer than 1-2 minutes in length.

Make sure to showcase your brand. Include your logo and brand name in your videos. This helps build brand awareness and recognition.

Tell a story. Videos are a great way to tell a story. Focus on creating a story that is interesting and engaging. This will help your viewers connect with your brand.

Use visuals. Visuals are an important element of any successful video. Make sure to include visuals that are relevant to your brand and message.

Add music. Music can help bring your videos to life. Choose a song or track that is catchy and fits the mood of your video. Most platforms have copyrighted music you can use, or you can make your own. Be careful when adding music from a third party as you may need to pay for a license.

Promote your videos. Once your video is completed, make sure to promote it on all your social media channels. This will help increase your reach and engagement. Also, remember to ask people to like, follow, and subscribe to your channels. It’s a great way to increase your reach and help others find you.

If you are looking for an alternative way to provide information to customers in your FAQ section, consider using videos instead of text. Videos are an effective way to provide detailed visual information about a product or service and can help customers better understand the information they are looking for.

Here are some tips for using videos in your FAQ section:

1. Keep it short and direct. Short, focused videos that answer specific questions are often more effective than long, rambling videos.

2. Make sure the video is relevant. Videos should be relevant to the question being asked and provide the information needed to answer the question.

3. Include a transcript. Include a transcript of the video so that customers can easily find the information they need.

4. Use visuals. Videos should include visuals to illustrate the points being made and make the video more engaging.

5. Include a call to action. At the end of the video, include a call to action that encourages customers to take the next step in the process.

By using videos instead of text in your FAQ section, you can provide customers with more detailed and engaging information, as well as a better overall customer experience.

The beauty of developing a video marketing plan is that you are making it easier for the viewer to be exposed to the information you are trying to communicate.

You might be concerned about making the right videos, or making ones that you think are "good for posting." You may think that "people won't like it" or "no one will watch it."

Stop thinking that way. The best advice I can give is to just make a video and post it. If you're worried about its being perfect, you will fail to create anything at all.

We all have a learning curve with it comes to creating. Some videos will get views and others won't. You will get questions on your videos, or criticisms saying you didn't cover the whole question.

All of those are great things. As you create more videos, you'll get better at it and learn to make things that will work and things that won't. Questions give you a way to make another video and post it for others to find. Criticisms do the same as you can address those concerns and dive deeper into the topic.

Perfect is the enemy of done. Make your videos to get them done, and work on making the next one better than the last. Nothing will ever be perfect, but as you create you'll learn to make them better then they were before, and you'll connect with your current and future clients in ways you didn't realize were possible.
